Planning Your Implementation
Implementing support for TraX within a TSP platform typically involves multiple roles. Each role should review the relevant documentation before development and deployment begin.
Implementation typically takes 1–3 months, depending on the TSP’s available resources and integration scope.
Solution Architect
Responsible for overall system design, integration strategy, and alignment between the TSP platform and the SKF TraX platform.
- Review the Architecture section.
- Review the Process Overview in the Integrations section.
- Understand environment separation, system boundaries, and integration responsibilities.
Device Integration Specialist
Responsible for understanding device behavior, technical requirements, and how the device operates within the vehicle environment.
- Review the Technical Specifications (Connected Version).
- Review all articles in the Device Reference section.
- Understand procedures described in Device Management.
Application Integration Specialist
Responsible for implementing API connectivity, data exchange, and automation.
- Review the APIs section (Web API and Queue API).
- Review the Integrations section.
- Use the Postman Collection to explore and test the Web API.
Quality Assurance Specialist
Responsible for validating the technical implementation and operational readiness prior to production deployment.
- Review the QA Protocol.
- Review the User Acceptance Test (UAT) Protocol.
- Verify behavior across development and production environments.
Operating TraX
Once TraX has been integrated and deployed, different user groups rely on different parts of the documentation.
Installers (Mobile App Users)
Installers are responsible for mounting and commissioning devices using the TraX mobile application.
- Review the Quick Start Guide.
- Review Commission Devices.
- Refer to Device Management for reset, replacement, firmware updates, and servicing procedures.
- Consult the Mobile App FAQ if needed.
TSP Operations Team
Responsible for fleet management, monitoring, inspections, and customer support.
